Velvet-Purple Coronet

So I came across this article the other day: http://www.mnn.com/earth-matters/animals/stories/18-strange-and-beautiful-hummingbird-species and decided that I was going to make all of these hummingbirds. I’d like to make them all realistic. With a little research I found the sizes for all of them except one, the Velvet-Purple Coronet! Does anyone know the measurements of this bird? Or where I can find any info?

      1. Or maybe.. this little bird just doesn’t think it’s anybody’s business what size he is and he’s refused to be caught and measured. Maybe it’s one of the great mysteries of the bird world and we will just have to accept that we will never know.

  1. Along with others, I’ve had a search around for the size, but really there is very little about these hummers ‘out there’, either in traditional places (Cornell etc) or elsewhere. All I can say is that they are, for a hummingbird species, large. How helpful is that? RH
